Every farmer is the zamidar of their land

Why the name

Zamidar comes from zamīn, land, and dār, the one who holds it. For a long time the word meant a landlord who took from farmers. We are giving it back to the people who actually work the land. Our promise is in our tagline: हर किसान ज़मीदार, Har kisan zamidar, every farmer is a zamidar. You plan the crop, you take the decisions, and you sell at your price.

Our logo is a smiling farmer in a saffron pagdi holding a stalk of wheat: the person this app is built for.

What we are building

• An AI crop plan for each field, week by week, with the best sowing month, the chance of a good harvest and the government schemes that may apply.
• A plant doctor that reads a photo of a sick leaf and gives the treatment and dose.
• A voice assistant that answers Indian farming and weather questions in your language.
• A local market to sell produce and buy inputs, and equipment rental for 39 kinds of farm machines.
• RupeeBook, a farm account book that shows profit by month, year and crop.

What we believe

• Your language first. Every screen, plan and answer works in English and all 22 scheduled languages of India.
• Advice you can check. AI can be wrong. We tell you so, point you to your Krishi Vigyan Kendra for severe problems, and link schemes to their official sources.
• Pay people, not the app. We do not take a cut of your sales or rentals. Buyers pay farmers directly.
• A clean market. Every listing is checked before it goes live, and accounts that cheat are blocked.
• Your data is yours. Your account book is private, and we never sell your data. See our privacy policy.
