Tips for a good scan

  • Fill the frame with one leaf. A photo of the whole field is too far away.
  • Shoot in daylight, without a shadow over the leaf.
  • Pick a leaf that shows the problem clearly, front or back.
  • If the result does not match what you see, take a second photo of another leaf.

The scan is a quick first opinion, not a lab test. For severe or spreading problems, take a sample to your nearest Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK). Always read and follow the label of any pesticide or fungicide.

Which crops can I scan?

Any crop: cereals, pulses, vegetables, fruit trees, spices and flowers. The scan works best on leaves, and also on stems and fruit.

Is the plant disease scan free?

Yes, plant scans in Zamidar are free. There is a fair daily limit so the service stays free for everyone.

Does it tell me the medicine name and dose?

Yes. It gives what to spray or apply, the dose and the timing, with organic options where they work. Always follow the product label.

Can I use it without internet?

No. The photo is checked by the AI online, so you need mobile data or Wi-Fi.
