AI crop plan

A week-by-week crop plan for your own field

Tell Zamidar the crop, your land, soil and water. In about a minute you get a plan from land preparation to harvest, with what to do each week, which inputs to use and how much.

What goes into your plan

Most farming calendars are written for an average farm. Zamidar writes the plan for yours. It uses five things you tell it in the app:

  • Crop: pick from more than 40 common Indian crops, such as paddy, wheat, maize, ragi, tomato, chilli, onion, potato, mango, banana and turmeric, or type the name of any other crop, for example Thai guava or dragon fruit.
  • Land size in the unit you use: acre, bigha, guntha, cent or hectare.
  • Soil type, chosen by its colour: black, red, alluvial, sandy, laterite and more.
  • Water source: borewell, canal, pond or rain-fed.
  • Location: your village from GPS, so the plan fits your state, season and weather.
  1. Pick the crop

Choose from the list or type any crop name in your own language.

  2. Describe the field

Land size, soil colour and water source. No soil report needed.

  3. Read the plan

Phases, best season, success chance and schemes, all in one place.

  4. Start farming

Each week shows its tasks. Tick them off and get a 6:30 AM reminder.

Four tabs in every plan

Phases

Land preparation, sowing, growth, flowering, fruiting and harvest, broken into weeks. Each week lists its tasks, inputs and doses, such as “Apply 13:0:45, 5 g per litre, foliar spray”.

Best season

A month-by-month rating for sowing in your area: best, good or avoid. You can see at once if this month is a good time to start.

Success chance

An estimate of how likely a good harvest is for your crop, land and season, and the steps that raise it, such as mulching or drip irrigation.

Government schemes

Central and state schemes and subsidies that may apply to your crop and state, who can apply, and a link to the official site.

FAQ

Crop plan questions

Is the crop plan free?

Yes. Making and following farm plans in Zamidar is free.

Do I need a soil test report?

No. You choose your soil by its colour. If you have a soil health card, the plan will still help, and you can follow the card for exact fertiliser amounts.

Can I plan a crop that is not in the list?

Yes. Type the crop name, for example Thai guava, dragon fruit or a local vegetable, and the AI builds a plan for it.

Can I change the plan if the weather changes?

You can make a new plan at any time. The home screen also shows local weather and warns you when rain is likely, so you can move sprays and irrigation.

Which languages are plans available in?

English and all 22 scheduled Indian languages, including Hindi, Odia, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam and Punjabi.
